Build Your Legacy

Let's talk about something that you will leave in this world when you say goodbye! I mean in terms of your business legacy.

We as a human kind are the most infatuated with our possessions and what we can acquire, but we hardly realise that our time here is limited.

I believe, that the only way to stay alive when we will not be, is to think about what we will leave behind, the legacy. Legacy in terms of the little contributions we made to make this world a better place for the future generations. I think we should care about it.

When it comes to businesses, most of them exist without a name. They exist as an unknown seller on a merketplace or a shop whose banner is covered 80% with an ad. If you want to build your legacy as a business then it's imperative that you start building your brand, your legacy, today!

Every business is unique and different industries have their own way of doing things. But some aspects are common across all. Every business needs to maintain a balance between the investment it makes for business operations and towards building and strenthening their brand. It depends on what stage the business is at in its journey. But one thing that's true is that at the end of this journey we all strive to create something that can be passed on. We have to realise that if we make all our investments for today's profits there will be nothing left to pass on in longer run.

There are a lot of factors that are changing the way business is done today. The rate of change has been increasing every year. The businesses we are in today will not be the same in the next 10 or 20 years but what will stay forever with us is the name or reputation we earn in return of the hard work we do day in and day out year after year. That name, that reputation, that identity is the Brand.

That identity today is digital. And the address of your brand is your brand's online store if you are selling some form of product. Future may be different. So start building your legacy today!
